You are referred to a periodontist first. Nothing holds on an inflamed gum or on bone that is actively being lost — not a veneer and not an implant. The gum disease is treated, the case is reassessed, and only then is the cosmetic plan decided.
Both are usually solvable. The point is that they are solved first, and that you find out about them on a video call rather than after landing.
