How Much Do Veneers Cost in Colombia?

The figures in dollars and in pesos, what they include and what they do not.

Cost per tooth, in USD

Porcelain veneers cost $250 - $375 USD per tooth at this practice in El Poblado, Medellín. A full case of up to 20 veneers is $5,000 - $6,250 USD, which is deliberately less than multiplying the per-tooth figure: past a certain number of teeth the laboratory handles the case as one piece and the appointments do not multiply the same way. For comparison, the same porcelain veneer runs roughly $900 to $2,500 per tooth in the United States, which is where the entire logic of flying here comes from. Composite veneers cost less than porcelain, but their price depends far more on the individual case, so they are quoted after we have seen your teeth rather than advertised as a range that would not match your mouth.

USD figures are approximate, converted at 1 USD = 4,000 COP (September 2026). Treatment is quoted and invoiced in Colombian pesos, so your final cost depends on your card exchange rate on the day you pay.

The figures, both currencies

Treatment US dollars Colombian pesos (what you are invoiced)
Porcelain veneer, per tooth $250 - $375 USD per tooth $1.000.000 COP - $1.500.000 COP por diente
Full case, up to 20 veneers $5,000 - $6,250 USD $20.000.000 COP - $25.000.000 COP
Composite veneers quoted at your assessment se cotiza en la valoración

Porcelain lasts 10-15 años; composite lasts 3-7 años. If you are flying in for this, that difference matters more than it would for a local patient.

What is included and what is quoted separately

In the quoted price

  • Video consultation before you travel
  • Clinical assessment, photographs and 3D scan
  • Digital smile design
  • Mock-up you approve before anything permanent
  • The veneers themselves and the laboratory work
  • Temporaries while the laboratory works
  • Fitting, bite adjustment and follow-up
  • Written warranty with your treatment plan

Not included

  • Anything that has to be treated first: decay, deep cleaning, gum disease, a root canal
  • A night guard, if you grind your teeth
  • Whitening of the teeth that will not be covered
  • Flights, hotel, transfers and meals
  • Travel insurance

Treatment you need first is quoted separately because not every patient needs it. Folding it into a headline price would mean charging it to people who arrive with healthy teeth.

What it costs elsewhere

Country Porcelain veneer, per tooth
Colombia $300 – $650 This practice: $250 - $375
United States $900 – $2,500 No travel cost, but three to eight times the price
Turkey $200 – $450 Cheapest headline price; longest flight from the US
Mexico $350 – $700 Shortest trip for most US patients

Turkey is cheaper on the sticker price, and pretending otherwise would be silly. Whether it is cheaper for you depends on the flight, and whether the clinic you pick there is a good one — the same question you should be asking about this one. The full comparison, including where Colombia loses, is on its own page.

How you pay

El tratamiento se paga por etapas, al terminar cada fase, repartido en el número de citas que tenga tu plan.

Payment methods are tarjeta de crédito, efectivo, transferencia. There is no in-house financing. If you pay by credit card, the instalments and the interest are your bank's, on your own card, under whatever terms your bank offers. Any clinic promising you fixed monthly payments should be asked who is actually lending the money.

Warranty

Todos los tratamientos tienen garantía. El plazo no es el mismo para todos: depende del tratamiento y del material, y se te entrega por escrito con tu plan.

Questions about the cost

How much do veneers cost in Colombia?

Porcelain veneers cost $250 - $375 USD per tooth at this practice in El Poblado, Medellín. A full case of up to 20 veneers is $5,000 - $6,250 USD. In Colombian pesos those figures are $1.000.000 COP - $1.500.000 COP por diente and $20.000.000 COP - $25.000.000 COP. USD figures are approximate, converted at 1 USD = 4,000 COP (September 2026). Why is the full-case price lower than the per-tooth price multiplied?

Because beyond a certain number of teeth the laboratory works on the case as one piece and the number of appointments does not grow in the same proportion. It is not a promotion; it is how the work actually costs. When you compare quotes, make sure you are comparing the same unit — a practice quoting per tooth and one quoting per arch are not answering the same question.

What is the total cost once I add flights and a hotel?

That depends on where you fly from and how long your case takes, so any figure printed on a website would be invented. What can be said is the shape of it: the treatment is the large number, flights and a hotel in El Poblado are the smaller one, and the gap against US prices is wide enough that most patients are still ahead. Work it out with your own flight prices before you decide.

What currency am I actually charged in?

Colombian pesos. USD figures are approximate, converted at 1 USD = 4,000 COP (September 2026). Treatment is quoted and invoiced in Colombian pesos, so your final cost depends on your card exchange rate on the day you pay.

Is a deposit required to hold the appointment?

La valoración inicial es lo recomendable antes de cualquier cifra: de ahí sale el plan y el número de etapas. You do not need to have the whole amount together before starting.

What does the warranty cover?

Todos los tratamientos tienen garantía. El plazo no es el mismo para todos: depende del tratamiento y del material, y se te entrega por escrito con tu plan. It covers the dental work. It does not cover flights back to Medellín — which is true of dental tourism everywhere, and worth asking about wherever you are comparing.

The ranges above stop being useful the moment someone looks at your teeth. The video consultation is where a range becomes a quote, and it costs nothing.
